OMGOMGOMG Inspiration just struck — I figured out how to rewrite my scifi story to make it all cohesive and believable. Just handwrote a stack of paper changing the story to make it all PERFECT.
Now comes the fun part, putting the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together on paper… or within the word processor, that is.
I’m so happy now, I just figured out what I’ve been...
Massive Impact Explosion on Moon →
According to this NASA-produced video on YouTube, there was a meteor impact on the moon so large, you could see it with the naked eye if you happened to be looking at it at that time.
Yes, there’s video. And it’s quite impressive.

OSgrid sim "Bunneh" →
It’s online and ready for you to drop by and say hello.
Build something to let us know you were there.
Asking for your suggestions
Can you recommend me any good dark ambient music (without a rhythm) that’s Creative Commons?

My thoughts on the Oculus Rift
The Oculus Rift looks awesome, but it looks (at this time) to be limited to games on the WinTel platform. WEAK. Why stop there? Why not VR everything from the OS up. And I’m talking about OSX, Linux and everything that you can see on the screen, not just games. The browser, social media…
There’s NOTHING that couldn’t be used or upgraded with a product like this… and...

My thoughts on filmmaking
Been watching trailers for this summer’s Hollywood blockbusters all morning and all I have to say is: I HATE YOU, HOLLYWOOD. What happened to originality? For one, they should stop making sequels & prequels; all they’re doing is trying to make a buck off an established franchise and that’s sick.
I have the equipment and I’ll make my own goddamn movies. And they will be better. The...

If I were a cat, it would have cost me one life to adjust this Glidecam properly. But, it’s done. Test footage coming soon.
Woke up even more sick than usual, got up every hour on the hour last night. My voice is gone and my nose won’t stop running like Niagra Falls. I want to go back to bed so bad, but there’s so much to do.
I feel like I want to collapse.
That was interesting… About 90% of the people I follow on Twitter, my account just “unfriended” for no reason. Don’t worry, I fixed it.

OSgrid "Bunneh" has returned!

I was asked “What company would go out of business that would make the world a better place?”
The answer was obvious: MICROSOFT
When asked why I answered that, I replied that it would stop the majority of online crime, phishing scams, tracking cookies, root kits, flash vulnerabilities, 0-day IE holes, identity theft, viruses, ransomware, closed software fears and 90+% of the crap...
Now… when the hell is that new server going to arrive?!
I’m one smart mofo. I just figured out how to create OSgrid megaregions (by making some test ones locally, but they work)!
When OSgrid region Bunneh returns in a few days (when my new server arrives), it will be a quad megaregion (1024Mx1024M) with 60,000 prims.
Enough space? There’s never enough space! :)

My OSgrid island BUNNEH will be down until further notice. However, I’ll make DA06 (my other sim) public for the time being. BUNNEH will return in a few days… with an explanation.

My neighbor's at it again.
This time, he illegally trespassed on my property, grabbed one of my locked trash cans, threw it against his house that’s cluttered with tons of trash to take pictures of it showing what “WE” did to his property. And guess what, I caught it on video. My HOA will be getting a DVD in the mail in a day or two. I love security systems that’s so high-resolution, you could read...

Stop the planet, I want off.
When the Supreme Court of the United States votes for the blatant bullshit of a company who’s corporate greed is more important that the freedoms of it’s own citizenry, it’s time to find another planet to live on. I’m done here.
Here’s the case and ruling.
Scoring the film.
One of the most important part of making a film is creating the score; it sets the mood and atmosphere. But where’s the best place to find the music that you’re looking for?
http://www.archive.org
http://www.magnatune.com
http://search.creativecommons.org
and pretty much anywhere else where you can find these Creative Commons and Public Domain goodies. There’s millions of...

OSgrid question
Can anyone answer an OSgrid question for me?
Can one PC with a static IP run multiple OSgrid sims?
Anyone please??

My new film project.
Earlier this morning, my son sent me four links to YouTube movie trailers for (extremely) low budget horror flicks that looked like they had a budget of $121 minus film developing; you know they kind, you’ve seen it done before but with different actors, seasons and locations.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a firm believer that every film has its merits. Just because it’s not an...
Sending out happy Mother’s Day wishes to all our mums, without which, we wouldn’t be here today to watch cat videos and anonymously troll our most disliked social groups.

An open OS Grid sim to the public.
Okay, I’m going to try an experiment here: I’m going to open up one of the two OS Grid sims I own called Bunneh. The other is called DA06 but I’m keeping that one closed to the general public for the time being.
You can build on Bunneh it and use it as you see fit if you’d like, but please be considerate and don’t destroy it. Let me know what you’re doing on...
Bought my third 1500VA UPS. Now I have one for my office (Mac Pro), the living room entertainment center and now the bedroom entertainment center.
This is Florida, the power here fluctuates wildly. And when I mean wildly, I’m referring to our politician’s ability to [Censored by the Florida Legislature].
OMFG, Why Me?
For the second day in a row, someone flipped the main breaker off AT NIGHT IN THE DARK to replace some electrical outlets.
Is it okay to flip off the correct breaker to the outlet for this kind of job? Sure, but it usually happens in the daylight so you’d be able to see what you’re doing. But what happens is the main is simply flipped off and the entire house, including my large...

My bad fortune turns good. Finally.
I jut received some replacement parts for my old Steadicam JR and wouldn’t you know it — one of the fore/aft adjustment switches broke off, twisting the frame and shearing off. There’s $600 down the tube! Well, that was like 8 years ago.
I was looking at the new Steadicam offerings and saw the Merlin2. Went to YouTube, saw some demo footage of it and almost vomited. It’s a...
Anonymous asked: You keep mentioning you listen to music while you write. Why and what do you listen to?
I'm writing.
I’ve decided to get comfy at the dining room table with my MacBook Pro, wear my heavy duty headphones, tune into DI.FM’s premium Ambient channel, and just start writing.
I’ve wanted to do this for three weeks now and I’m going to do just that.
Write.

A once in a lifetime trip begins today!
One of the very few relatives I have left in the world is starting the trek of a lifetime today. For months, Lois been planning on flying over to England to walk from one side to the other. It’s one of those ‘bucket list’ kinda things.
Anyway, she’s arrived and the pictures are starting to pour in. Please follow my cousin Lois’ trip blog...
Received my next-to-the-last piece of video equipment (2.0X telephoto lens) before I have everything I need to start shooting. I believe the last piece will arrive Friday.
Or wait, are there two more things after this one? I lost count… :(
I'm so tired.
For those of me who don’t know me intimately, I do not have a dominant personality. I rarely if ever make decisions; I just do what others want to make them happy. I work hard, even though I’ve been putting myself in a painful spot here recently, working until tears are rolling down my face. But no matter how much I attempt to give, it never seems to be enough. I’m doing...

Even though I purchased a new retina iPad for my disabled son to learn and communicate with us, I can’t find another reason for this thing to exist. Literally, it’s pretty much a useless waste of $800 IMHO. Impractical size, limited apps, no command line access, closed source… The list is endless.

I'm inspired to write, but...
Let’s face it, I’m almost 50K words into this manuscript and I’m only about a third into it. This novel’s not going to write itself. But I have a few problems attempting to get it done.
I can never get Microblow’s Office 365 to do anything I want. It does things its way or no way at all. This is the way their software has been acting since the mid-80s. Can’t...

OS Grid users, read this!
Afraid of the recent hack attack on my account, I now have a static IP on my Mac Pro at home (protected by a new 1500VA online UPS), running a local OpenSim window that’s attached to OS Grid.
My new sim is called (of course) Bunneh and it’s located at 10145,10145 and it’s open to the public. Drop by and say hi if you’d like. This is now my new home and I’ll add on to...

Overpriced Lenses.
For my new camcorder, the manufacturer recommends two add-on lens products that I believe would greatly help me. And I want them.
First, there’s a 1.5X magnification teleconverter. Since my camera has the equivalent to a 300MM 35MM zoom on it, this additional lens would give it a 35MM equivalent of a 450MM zoom. They want $480.00 for it. That’s a bit too pricey for me. I found an...
